Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to join our team. As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our service department and ensuring exceptional customer service. Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise the service department staff, including technicians and support personnel
- Ensure efficient workflow and productivity within the service department
- Schedule and assign work orders to technicians based on their skillset and availability
- Monitor the progress of repairs and ensure timely completion
- Provide guidance and support to technicians when needed
- Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including repairs, parts used, and labor hours
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations in a professional and timely manner
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in automotive repair techniques
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience in automotive repair, including knowledge of transmission, auto body repair, diesel engine repair, air brake systems, brake repair, shocks, struts, etc.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building long-term relationships
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures
- Solid understanding of service department operations and workflow management
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to interact with customers, technicians, and other team members
